About Crowdfund Recon
Crowdfund Recon is a research newsletter and database about companies that raise money from the public under Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF). We read the filings these companies submit to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), mainly Form C and its updates and annual reports, and we report what those documents say.
What you get
- A free weekly briefing: what was filed, in plain numbers, with the filing named beside each figure.
- A public page for each offering, with the figures taken from its Form C.
- A paid tier with the full scored database, alerts by criteria, raise tracking and the Quiet Raise list.
What we are not
We are a publication. We are not investment advisers, brokers or a funding portal. We do not sell securities, take orders or handle investor money. We publish the same content to every reader at the same tier, and we do not answer personal investment questions. Our standing reply is: "We do not give individual investment advice." Nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Reg CF investments can lose all of their value and usually cannot be resold for at least a year.
Who runs it
Crowdfund Recon is edited by Kristofer Hickson, a former U.S. Marine who is working on his MBA and specializes in agentic AI and its practical applications in the business world. It is published by Seven-Deuce Offsuit, LLC, a Virginia limited liability company. Kristofer owns a $180 investment in First Jet Airways Inc. and discloses it beside every mention of that company. The full list of his holdings is on the Editor's Holdings page.
Our independence pledge
We take no money from anyone we write about. That means no advertising, sponsorship, affiliate fee, referral fee, free service or equity from any company raising money, any funding portal, any broker-dealer or any other intermediary. This is permanent, written policy. Our revenue comes from reader subscriptions.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help gather filings, draft summaries and scrape data. A human editor checks every fact against the source documents and makes every rating decision.
How we are checked
Every figure we publish names its source. Our scoring method is published on the Methodology page, applied the same way to every offering, and every score carries a date. If we get something wrong, we correct it in public, and every company we name may reply in up to 200 words. See our Corrections and Right of Reply Policy.
